Everyone knows how often teen pregnancy occurs, but it seems like not very many people know the TRUE facts. In the article, "Teen Pregnancy Statistics in the US", It explains facts and statistics that can help people know what teen pregnancy is all about. First off, three-quarters of a million teens between 15 and 19 become pregnant each year, which can really add up. Also, out of all teen pregnancies, 57% end in birth, and a third of the teen pregnancies end up in abortion. In addition, teens who become pregnant are less likely to attend college or even finish high school.

In the next article, "Facts About Teen Pregnancy", it explains that about 1 in 3 women become pregnant at least once before they're 20. Also, a sexually active teen who does not use contraceptives has a 90% chance of becoming pregnant within a year. It additionally affects their kids too because girls born to teen mothers are more likely to be teen mothers themselves and boys born to teen moms are more likely to end up in prison. Lastly, over 50% of girls have sex because their boyfriends want them to and they decide to give in.

Lastly, in the article, "Its Time to get Informed", it explains that teen pregnancy can have serious consequences for girls and guys. Also that teen mothers are likely to have a second birth relatively soon, which is definitely not good. Single teen mothers also are likely to be poor and not be able to raise their kids as best as they can. Additionally, eight out of ten fathers don't marry the mother of their child. That can screw not only the mothers life, but the child's life as well. Everyone wants a father figure in their lives. So people need to be informed of the real facts.
